I have a 1991 Hunter 35.5 and am baffled by the squeaky noises I hear whenever in any seas over 6" (i.e. crossing a boat wake). It is really annoying and casts concerns about the seaworthiness, whether founded or just psychological. It's around the point where the mast is stepped and is very loud when below. I can't trace it to anything being transmitted through the mast (i.e. boom connection point). Is this just something I have to live with? Any validations and/or suggestions are appreciated. I absolutely love this boat, I'd just like to feel like it's a solid craft and the noise is hard to get past.
