I made a rather short 13 mile run around to this creek just off the Vernon River to await scattered thunderstorms and rain.
The forecast turned into a solid squall line running all the way down to the Gulf of Mexico with tornado warnings which made watching the gathering clouds more interesting. Didn't see a single flash or hear a rumble of thunder but the boat did heel about 20 degrees shortly after these pictures were taken.
All quiet now. I held position but the boat behind me is a bit farther away. The boat in the last picture lost its Bimini top.
