SEEMS KIND OF EARLY, BUT TODAY I SAW A FEMALE MALLARD IN THE CANAL BEHIND THE HOUSE, WITH 10 OR 11 REALLY LITTLE DUCKLINGS FOLLOWING ALONG. SO SPRING MUST BE HERE. SORRY FOR YOU GUYS IN THE FAR NORTH.

Spring? What's that?

That's nice of you to think of others NNE. I sailed today along the surfline at Venice Beach in Los Angeles. It was quite pleasant. But it wasn't perfect as I found myself needing to wear a sweatshirt as it was pretty cloudy. I too am sorry for the sailors farther north. Best regards, Big Joe

Big Joe - You're sorry?????

Damn - so am I. Woke up to 2 inches of snow on the back deck, 20 deg. F. temp, and a bloody wind chill factor of zero F. Not supposed to warm up 'till Easter Monday.

Enough, Already!

we had about 4" of really heavy, wet snow-further north (the rest of the Maine Hunter Sailing Association) had up to 18"!

One good thing.....

I could use the melted snow to wet sand my 'glass patch this morning.
