Does anyone have any experience replacing the springlift arms in their Hunter iceboxes. I have a 1994 37.5 and one of the "shock absorber" arms in the icebox has broken and no longer holds the weight of the icebox hatch open. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

I just replaced the neumatic lift in the freezer on my 376. If yours is similar, call Mike Thomas (retail parts) at Hunter and he will ship you one. He should be able to find it from his records, but if you have the part number, I'm sure it would help. Replacement required the removal of the C clips with needle nose pliers, removal and replacement of the lift, and replacement of the C clips.

Pneumatic lifts go out periodically, usually right in the middle of an extended summer cruise. It's nice to have a spare on hand.
