Lived in Coquille from 1973-1976.

John, where in Coquille did you live, what did you do, etc., etc., etc. Did you know many people in Coos Bay? Pete Sussick, Patti's uncle, was the Marshfield High School football coach for years. Became a legend. Cutlip Ice-cream was ubiquitous in that area for years, another of Patti's uncles. Cal Heckard, my cousin, was the Coos Bay/North Bend water board manager for years. Then my sister Janee and her husband Dave owned the Hauser Store for years. Finally closed it up last year after a storied career. Lots of family were once there, most if not all gone now.

Hadley is nestled in her berth till I get back from my Southeast tour. At least I hope.
Late April is set aside for some cruising prep projects and then the Catalina Rendezvous the 3rd of May. Followed by some Island time.
Till then we are enjoying a Coconut cake at Peninsula Grill in Charleston.

Great choice! Great cake! My wife and I had coconut cake at Peninsula Grill on our honeymoon. I hope the flowers are as pretty in Charleston as they are here in Sumter.

This is the state of my electrical refit. I decided not to reuse the origional panel. It had unused and poorly drilled holes in it. I’ve fab’d a new panel but haven been able to get up to the boat since last Saturday. I’ll be retiring but don’t know if final gauge will be in in time ( oil pressure gauge will be replaced with matching but thought I would use mismatch until it came in then voltmeter went back order). Grumble, grumble

Nice job on the new panel, Les. Our original 1991 panel still looks good and performs almost as new. Awhile ago though the temp gauge pegged to hot shortly after startup for some unknown reason. Seemed to correct itself since there has been no recurrence.
