Looseness
I had a similar situation with my aft spreaders on my C-30. Before simply tightening them up however, I had a rigger check out my standing rigging altogether. He used a tape to insure that my mast was verttical and not favoring one side or the other. Then, he looked at the amount of compression and pre-bend in the mast to prevent pumping when sailing to weather. The forward shrouds take most of the load and the aft shrouds will be comparatively looser. I also have a roller furling and he checked it out and adjusted it as well (foil was rubbing on the drum). He then went to the top of the mast to look at connections, insure all of the pins were in, etc. In the end, it cost me about $75 and got me some peace of mind that my riggging is in good shape. If you choose to tighten them up yourself, remember that the turnbuckles need to be lubricated with a good penetrating oil to free them up if they haven't been moved in a while. Otherwise you could easily gall some of the threads and create a bigger problem. Good luck!
