We're buying 1991 Hunter 30t that hasn't had a lot of care or use for a few years. Everything needs thorough cleaning. Does anyone have suggestions on how to clean the mildew spots off of the bimini and sails?
I sent my sail to Sail Care, Inc.for cleaning last winter and the results were tremendous. I tried cleaning them myself with no luck but Sail Care cleaned and re-coated the mainsail and it looks terrific. Only problem is it takes about 1 month to get tehm back so you would probably want to wait until Fall. Cost was about $300 for my 33.5 mainsail but it was a lot cheaper than a new sail.
