Spot Free Rinse (De-Ionizer)

Much of my time while on the boat at the slip is washing, waxing or wiping the boat. I can only wash in the mornings or the late afternoons so I have enough time to wipe the boat dry before it spots otherwise the sun dries it too fast.

I'm thinking of investing in a water de-ionizer system to eliminate some of the spotting. I know Costco and other retailers sell them and range anywhere from $200 and up. They seem a bit low quality. I'm starting to see more of the de-ionizers at the big-boy docks. I only have a 38ft boat and I can't imagine the amount of time it would take to wipe one at 45+...

Any one have any experience with these. Which ones are good, what maintenance is needed for them, do they use chemicals, etc...

It will be a cartridge of resin with the ability to remove X amount of grains and its life will depend of the Total Dissolved Solids quality in the local water

And then you replace the resin
