This weather is downright spooky. Was plenty warm here yesterday, going to be in the 30's tonight, and a freeze warning has been issued. Seeing on the weather channel you east coast guys going to get hit later on today and tomorrow with more cold and with bad storms. Chicago baseball game cancelled because of cold and snow.

Was down the local boat store yesterday and walked the pier with the Boat dealers in our t-shirts, sunny and 12 deg.C ( 54 F) snow was all gone, bare grass..... today is 0 ( 32F) and SNOW and blowing SNOW ..... had at least 2-3 inches on my truck this morning and the ground is fully covered in white :cussing: :cussing:

Thursday night driving a truck in southern GA and northern FL on I-95...I have driven in hurricanes that were not that bad as far as rain coming from all directions, visibility, etc. Not as windy, just crappy to drive in.

Jack, I was northbound on I95 Thursday. I hit the FL/Ga line at 1300 and drove until 10:0 P.M.. On Friday, the weather channel was showing the graphics that Savannah, Charleston, Augusta, and I believe Atlanta had set records for one-day rainfall on Thursday. And we were in the middle of those 4 cities!

Back here in Annapolis, there were so many bradford pear trees in full bloom that it looked like snow everywhere.

This weekend was by far the nicest weekend of the year. I got a little more sun than I expected, but I was outside nearly the whole weekend, so what did I expect?

Yeah, its been kind of freaky!

Either to much wind or to little. We have always had the risk of freezing weather up until the middle of April but this year it's taking it to the line with temperatures expected in the low 40's by Wednesday. I'll start believing in global warming if that happens in May but for now it's just one of those years.

Yup, you are correct, Nice&Easy.. No place to hide today out toward Cat/Ship/Petit Bois! Doing house chores today!
We probably have whitecaps on the bayou today! Poor olde gators are going back to sleep for a few days! 85F here yesterday, 46F last night, freeze warning for 32F tonight. My chickens (goldfinches, cardinals, titmouses, doves, and wrens) at the feeders are all puffed up trying to keep warm! Gusting to 28 kts offshore with air temp around 55F, Waves are not too bad, but that is because the fetch is not long with a NNW wind. I think this is our last hoorah of winter!

Real Spooky here in California too.
Yesterday it was sunny and 80 degrees. Today it sprinkled for an hour and barely hit 70.
Spooky I tell ya!
I think it is time to go to Mexico!

Spooky Lake Ponchartrain weather and bad luck...

So I finally sell my trailerable MacGregor 26S and last week sign the papers on my dream boat (1979 C&C 29), and then over the weekend I get a fresh new bottom job done and then finally Monday arrives and I can finally take possession of her and move her from Slidell to Mandeville (on Lake Ponchartrain) and finally after lovingly convincing my non-boating wife to come along to help me, I exit the bayou and enter the lake into 50 deg weather, 3-4 ft seas and 25 kts winds!!! Beautiful blue skies, no clouds and 5 hours of slogging along at 4 mph.... And all this after telling her "It's a bigger heavier boat, not like our MacGregor water-ballast, it'll be a nice comfortable ride."

Boy am I in the dog-house today. Of course she got seasick at the exact 1/2 point. "How much longer?" came the question. "1 more hour" came the answer for the next 3 hours in a row.

I just can't win with getting my wife hooked on sailing. On days that just me and the dog go, it's beautiful and calm. All 3 times she's come along, it's horrible. My fault though, I need to consult the weather forcast better....
