Nice Boat

Your boat represents what what all boats should look like...clean and organized. I especially like the clean bilges. Good job!

My compliments

Maine Sail My compliments to you sir. Every pic I have seen of your boat, from top to bottom, and even the bilge is spotless. Dick is right, and all boats should be this clean and well maintained. Including mine.

Very nice...

but the boat clashes with the travel lift color! I can barely make out some fingerprints near the anchor. You call this late???? I am 2 weeks behind you! What would you call that? And I still am not going to get everything done I wanted. Off to the yard over the weekend to install an anchor light. Very Nice MaineSail. You should be proud of your efforts. Now... are you going to be able to come out and play??? Or all the "hall passes" used up?

You must have everything done!

We drove by last night while picking up our sails and you were nowhere to be found. We plan on spending Mem day weekend on the boat if the mast is stepped. What are your plans? Won't be back online til Sunday PM. Going to work on the camp this weekend.

When did you buy a NEW boat??

Vulgar. Disgusting. A crime against nature. Obviously, you've had a bunch of illegal aliens working on your boat day and night for weeks or months to get it so pristine. You should be in prison. Now I know what it means when I say "you make me sick". It's so perfect, I want to puke! Tell the truth- you photoshopped it, didn't you? Nice..... cup

Nice work

Your boat looks sharp! glad to hear that you are in. Mine has been in but only left the slip once because of the weather we have been having. When I was out it was extremely windy.

MaineSail...

Quick question for you... if you are still reading the post before tomorrow morning! Why is your light mounted on that (white whatever)... and not directly on the mast head? I purchased a Hella LED anchor light... it has a round plastic base... and I planned to drill and tap four screws to the masthead. Am I missing something?

Because...

I mounted it up high so it can be seen better by both myself and other boaters. Sometimes anchor lights sitting directly on top of the mast are hard to see and I have a fairly wide mast head plate. Usually, when were going off in the dinghy during day light hours, but returning in the dark, I'll turn on the anchor light before we leave. In the day time, with it sitting on the mast head or very close to it, I can't see if the bulb is on. With it up high I can tell in broad day light that it's working without getting in the dinghy and going 100 yards away. It also gets it out of the way of the wind instrument for unobstructed 360 vis.. Overkill yes but I like to be able to see it during daylight hours from my cockpit or deck for a quick check.. As we know incandescent anchor and mast head lights often get burned out due to mast vibrations so it's nice to be able to see it before it gets dark.. The white board is Starboard and is mounted into the three holes that were already there from an old light. It allowed me to not re-drill my mast head. There are six screws. Three mounting the Starbord to the mast head using the old screw hole pattern and three offset from those mounting the light to the Starboard.. It also serves as a break between the aluminum and stainless for corrosion issues....

Pretty Slick

I have to say that installation is pretty slick and the starboard was a great idea. I definately see the merits in it. I love the idea of the LED lights. I just put a replacement blub in one of my cabin lights that had an incandesent bulb. It works great (Dr. LED). Definately a plus. Looking at most of the boats on this site it makes you wonder if sailors take better care of their boats then powerboaters do.

She does...

look fine! Who wants to spend needless hours with sandpaper and varnish? It does however appear that you find plenty of stuff to keep you busy... while we are laboring with our britework!
