I am getting the MISTRAL a 1980 Hunter 27 rigged for a spinniker//i have the spinniker a sailing buddy gave me and i would like to know the how long the spinniker pole one should use on the old lady// also how high up the mast should the spinniker attachment loop be//and help would be great tom

The longer the better....
The Spinnaker pole length should equal the J measurement - in your case 11' 3". The ring for the pole will probably be a foot or two above the gooseneck. A piece of track a couple of feet long would give you the ability to move the ring based on wind, size of the sail, etc. Sounds like fun. RB PS: Check the gear here classifieds. I think that there is a carbon fiber pole advertised in there that would meet your needs.
