Interested in getting a spinnaker - not sure if assymetric or symmetric would be better? Anyone have any suggestions?

Personally, I would lean toward an assymetrical. I think an asym would suit me because it is simpler, and could be launched, and used solo. (with some practice). An asym requires less handling and rigging, ie topping lifts, poles guys etc.
There would have to be some mods to the mast and stem head to accomodate any kind of spinn. I have a furler, so I'd probably have to get that sleeve attachement, that enables the tack of the spinn to loosely fit around the furled sail. A halyard block needs to be installed at the masthead. It's crowded up there, but there's always a way!
I wanted to order an asym this year, but it never happended. Maybe next year.
