Spinnaker Track Install

I would like to install 4ft of track on my Kenyon 4871 spar. I've searched the forums, phoned Rig Rite but can't afford to be put on hold for that long. Have any of you done this installation, will it weaken this mast?. There is no track at present. Thanks in advance, Ian

My 34 has a Kenyon 5386 (I think).. The P.O. had installed spinnaker gear and installed about 4 feet of track along the leading edge. The movable spinnaker lug is on this track.. Works well.. No problems with it or the mast. That is a kinda "normal" installation.. I don't have pictures .. The folks at Mauri can help ya, Ian..

Thanks Claude, I have the track, but just a little unsure of this spar as it is not listed in Rig Rite's catalog. they have something close... 4873. They have no email, a convoluted message and put me on hold and I never was able to talk to them. Gets expensive from Canada after a while. Mauri Pro did help with screw selection though. I guess I'm a little nervous of drilling a bunch of holes in virgin territory.
