Spinnaker rigging and sailing

I wonder ... to rig an asymmetrical spinnaker on a second halyard out in front of the headstay so you can jibe the sail you need something to attach to at the top of the mast. I'm looking at this ring up there and wondering why not use it? Anyone know what i'm talking about and whether this can be done ...?

that's what it's for

that's exactly what that ring at the mast top is for. Attach a halyard shackle and you're good to go. The 2 halyards coming out of the mast are for your headsails

i appreciate you responding. I had a hunch it was likely, but just curious whether it was structurally strong enough. you've confirmed my brain.
