Spinnaker pole

Question for old Cat 22 Salts. We have acquired this 22 (Rhythm) and our "sailor" friend wants to know, if we can use a wisker pole to fly the spinnaker, or do we need a spinnaker pole for the 22. He plans to teach us to sail this Summer, and ask me to put this on the forum. Thanks guys.

The Spinnaker pole is of fixed length and much heavier than the Whisker pole. So unless you want to find yourself without either I I were you I would acquire a Spinnaker pole. BTW The C22 uses an 8' Spinnaker pole.

Thank you for responding. I have so much paper for my "trainer" to read. We have restored our 22 "Rhythm" every screw,winch,tiller (you get the idea). This will be our first season for her. I have a 14.2 and will add the 22 to my "fleet"
