Spinaker Pole Length
A spinaker pole's length is the same as the 'J' measurement of the boat. In case you are not familiar with the sail measurements they are E the length of the foot of the main, P the length of the luff of the main, I the back side of the fore triangle, and J the bottom of the fore triangle. The I, and J meet somewhere inside the cabin because the I measurement refers to the forward edge of the mast, and the J is measured from the tack of the jib to the forward edge of the mast at a right angle. So for my C36 a 'spinaker pole would be 14.33 feet. There would be two different sizes for the C27, one for the standard rig, and one for the tall rig, as the J is different for each. A 'whisker pole' is not the same as a spinaker pole.Michael
