Spinnaker pole length?

Is there a standard or recommended length for the Vega spinnaker pole?

This is what the VEGA rules say:
The length of the spinnaker pole measured when the pole is set
athwartships and horizontally from the extreme outer end of the pole to
the fore and aft centreline of the mast must not exceed 3 100 mm.

Thanks, Lueder. I have a 2.75m pole from my other boat, so it's worth
giving it a try.
