Spinnaker downhaul?

Hi guys... so about 3ft front of my mast on the deck is a round stainless plate.maybe 3 inches round. It has a threaded hole in the middle like a donut. Nothing is threaded in there. Im guessing its for a downhaul ? Can anyone verify and a pic of what screws in there would be good! No clue. Thanks!

i have those on my boat. i have over size eye bolts that screw into the fixture. mine are amidships and used for the boom vang on my old school, wood, roller boom

So digging through the boat some more...found this in the spinnaker sail bag!
