I like to single hand my Hunter 240 in the Hudson River. As some of you may know that's not very easy, inn normal conditions, and winds change very quickly in the Hudson have been trying to figure out what I can do to improve on that. I am looking for: 1. a spinnaker for my Hunter 240 (please give me a manufacturer. Some one had mentioned SpinThrifter, but I could not find them on the net 2. a way to furl my main (I already have jib furling) 3. rigging layout to bring my jib, main and reefing sheets closer to the tiller. Thanks in advance

Try this

1. North Sails does fine custom work and may have one on the shelf for a production boat. 2. No need to furl the main. You need it anyway when deploying the spin. 3. Install 3 Clear Step wheels for the jib furl. Use the jib leads for the tack line, permanently. Deploy a spin halyard and use a cleat or clutch to temporarily hold it in place until you pull tight. Consider a bowsprit to throw the whole works farther out from the main, to prevent blanketing. (See Archives for how-to.)
