I have looked at the archives and there is a ton of information. But. I still have a question. Many of the topics are regarding the 260 version of the boat and the cleats are on the outside of the winches, on the 26 they are between the winch and the sliding companion way hatch. Does this make a difference? Do the spinlocks still replace the cleats as neatly as discribed on the 260? Will they still be accessable from the winch access whole in the cabin? Thanks.

Yes

The new spinlocks have been upgraded. Get the largest ones. You do not need the swivel type. The new ones do have the shim with them. Use the shims. Remove cleats. If there is no access panel from below, then that means you have aluminum plates encapsulated in the fiberglass. This will mean tap and drill and make sure you use caulk. I hope this helps you. See if HOW Chandlrey offers them.
