I purchased a Hunter Legend 35 that had a Spin-Tech Triumph 2000 roller furler already installed. We have had trouble from the start in both lowering and raising the sail to and from the catch hook at the top. It comes with a urethane car you run up the leading edge of the foil with a halyard and a chase line to hook or unhook. I have tried the jib halyard, main halyard and even installed a new spinnaker halyard and tried it. I have had to go up the mast whenever installing or uninstalling the head sail. I am almost at my wits end and ready to buy a more conventional furler. has anyone had experience with this system? Is there a trick I can try? I have tried to research and it seems the company no longer exists.

I have not had any experience with the Spin-Tech Furlers. I did find some info using an AI search. (Link attached)

It is difficult to resolve an issue when the company has been closed for 15 years. You might find the easiest solution is to replace the furler. I inherited an aged furler. It was more effective to replace than to repair.

Do you have any pics of the car and/or the sheeves for the halyards? It is hard to suggest a solution when we can't see the problem.

Good idea. I have a feeling the Pacific NW and Canada will soon be sending you some winter weather. Looks like the temps will be in the 40’s at night and 50-60 in th day for the next 2 weeks. That can not last long. The Monday storm looks to scoot past Kansas towards Chicago and the mid-west on Monday. Indian summer for you guys in Kansas. Enjoy.
