Spider web cracks

You guys have seen two previous posts here lately. Thanks for your input. The picture attached is a H22 and shows some spider web cracks on the deck. According to a moisture meter (my own, being a home inspector), there is only one place where moisture is indicated. There are, however several areas where I would like to take care of the cracks since there are an aesthetic nuisance. Can anyone tell me how I can do that with out painting?

My Hunter 22 is the 4th older boat I have brought back to life and all have had spider cracks. On the previous boats I have tried everything including using a dremel tool and enlarging the cracks so i could fill with epoxy and then paint over. NOTHING WORKS!!! From some reasearch I have found that the cracks are caused by the fiberglass being applied too thick by the manufacturer and the resulting area being too stiff and not allowed to flex. Sounds weird but it makes sense. My advice is to be consoled by the fact that you have an older boat that is built alot better than most boats today and don't worry about the little cracks. If the crack goes real deep and the fibers are exposed then you need to do something. hope this helps Jim jhiebl@everestkc.net
