Where does one find a pricing guide for, say, a Catalina 30, used? (my next boat?) Are there good websites that have this info, or maybe just brokerages listings?I know of Boat Trader, what else is out there?
Check out these sites, lot of boats for sale: www.yachtworld.com www.catalinaowners.com www.boatus.com www.ablboats.com www.boats.com www.sailboatlistings.com/
Try this link:http://www.sailboatowners.com/used/index.tpl?fno=20This link will take you to a summary of asking prices for various Catalina models on the Catalinaowners.com site.ph.
www.yachtworld.com I found this site to be the the most complete and easy to navigate of the bunch. There are enough listings, all posted by professional brokers to get a good idea of fair market value which is generally different than the NADA values. Keep in mind that most boats (depending on area) sell for between 90% and 95% of their asking price. Good luck on the hunt!Tim
.......I was sure that the Cat 30 was the boat for me until I looked at the Hunter 30. The 88'-94' incarnation of the H30 still has nice lines without being too "buck rodgers" like the newer ones. She sails great, has a comfortable aft berth and a walk through transome with a swim step. IMHO alot of boat in 30'.Tim
