I recently received a pair of Poly-Planar MA6600 speakers and thought about installing them on the forward bulkhead of my Hunter 28, but I am concerned if this might weaken the structural support of the bulkhead. The cut-out diameter of the speakers is 5 7/8". Any ideas?

Round hole?
A round hole, unless it was significatly large would not weaken the bulkhead structure. You might consider mounting them underneath the setees, port and starboard, facing into the center of the boat. My 28.5 had 6x9's mounted that way. Problem with bulkhead is the back side of speaker usually is unsightly. Where are you in Panama City (?), my 35.5 is in Massalina Bayou.
