Spare parts identification

I was going through a spare parts bin that was with the boat and came across a couple of things I couldn't identify. Can anybody help out with positive IDs or a use guess?

First is a set of three-piece white clips. The two cylindrical pieces would have a screw put through them, allowing the piece with the arm to rotate freely, and the cap would cover the screw head (picture shows the three pieces exploded). There are six of these sets.



Second is a two-piece stainless steel fitting. Each piece has a threaded hole that accepts this large (5/8" ?) bolt. The piece with the hooks looks like it could be twisted/hooked onto a cable or something.



Any ideas, esteemed sailors?

The first one is a lever to hold a Lewmar screen in a hatch. It also holds the hatch trim ring in place.

A long shot, but it is possible that the second one is part of the clamp for a Magma grill. Not the type that are on an arm, but rather the large ones that sit flat on top of a rail - using 2 clamps. Good luck.

The hook part of the second one looks like it is made to secure to the bottom cross-pin of a fishing rod holder. This would be part of the Magma BBQ mount, West page 816, item E or O... but maybe that bolt is for some other Rube Goldberg purpose.

1st one also holds the cover of cooking gas cylinder compartment.

Looks like it's made to hold something with a hex on it. I wondered if it might hold rigging in place while a turnbuckle was adjusted. There again, just a dark shot..

Agree on the plastic Lewmar part. The second is a friction clamp used on the throttle cable to keep the throttle from drifting. If you have an Edson pedestal, there is an adjustment inside the pedestal and the clamp is not really neccessary.

I looked at that being a cable brake, but those hex shapes inside, and the way too big bolt made me think not. I still don't know..

I've been in many Edson pedestals, mostly 336's and have found the speed control damper to be in some of them, and others strangely don't. It's just a 1/4" bolt on the bellcrank assembly that causes resistance. If yours has it, when you remove the compass and look down and to your right, the head of it points straight up at you. And cable brakes tend to want to work better closer to the helm, as opposed to the engine..fwiw..

You guys nailed it on the lewmar hatch levers, although I can't for the life of me figure out why those are on this boat. There are none of those hatches and nowhere else that looks like they may have been planned to have been used.

I still can't figure the SS bits, but will check the WM catalogue when I'm on a real computer to see if it's related to the magma grill I have. I'm not sure that it would be for the speed control lever either, but who knows - I'll see if it fits in there somehow too (although there's no problem with the lever slipping now).
