SparCraft vang fittings keep breaking!

The lower Vang fitting on a SparCraft system is to weak. I have broken two of them. They are a softer alloy that opens up where it connects to the mast swivel fitting.
I could replace it, but it will break again. I have seen many of the larger boats starting to develop the same problem.
Any ideas on a fix or replacement?

Hello and thanks for asking about my Boom Vang problem.
The part is the lower fitting that is riveted to the bottom side of the Vang where it attaches to the Mast Tang. That Tang fitting swivels as the boom moves. The fitting is a softer alloy cast of some kind. It is split in the middle and the mast tab fits into the middle of that fitting. the sides of the fitting have the sheaves for the manual compression of the 2 lower blocks. This is standard Sparcraft equipment, both the Mast and the Boom and is certainly not strong enough to handle 800sq. Foot of sail area.
My question is regarding the the potential rejigging need and the best possible equipment to use.(Brand)
Especially since I believe many boats have probably had to also do this before, while fixing there problem.
