Finally, finally, finally, got the boat in the slip. Had to dodge squalls but the radar showed a potential 45min to 1 hour window so we took it. Launched with the mast down at the new found private ramp - tide was low and ramp was not very steep so the rear tires had to go under - no way to recover from this ramp - so we were committed to the 4 mile trip around the airport runway to the marina. New motor pushed the boat at 6.2 knots, above hull speed, but we had following seas and a stiff tailwind for that leg.

The best part is you won't have to read any more of my whiny posts about not being in the water yet. :D

Seriously, I'm going to stop posting now and go sailing - this weekend looks great.

I'm glad you can go sailing - I don't think FL has had a day this month withour rain. And lots of it... We're getting water logged!

Ken, congrats. That struggle getting it launched will quickly be forgotten after a good weekend of sailing. Have fun!

I'm so happy for you Ken. The weather up here has been either too hot of rainy for the guys in my club. I'm hoping that they will be able to get out and enjoy their boats this year as I have done in previous years. As for me, I just miss hanging out on my boat in my favorite coves.

Smooth Sailing!
