I am looking at a Soverel 1978 model. I need 6'8" headroom in the salon but I will settle for less. Does anybody know the specifications, including the sleeping accomodations?

good boat

The Soveral 36 was Mark Soverel's first attempt at IOR design. The original Moody Blue did quite well in the SORC that year. The production version is a very good sailing boat. I have raced against and on the first production boat and it was always a tough competitor. The layout is standared V-berth, head, salon, galley, with portside quarter berth. She sleeps 6, more comfortably 5, and should come close to the 6'8" requirement. It's been along time since I have been on one, but I do remember that at 6', I had plenty of head room. There is a center board version for sale at the yachtworld.com website with some good pictueres that you should check out. Hope this helps. PM
