Hi All
Glad to say Southern Comfort was hauled out toady and the mast unstepped.
All went well and she is now on her trailer and will be driven to my home in
Malvern tomorrow. Many thanks to Mike Freeman (VAGB Chairman) and Jim
Gregory for their help. We unstepped the mast using a hand derrick which
went perfectly. We also managed to remove the head of the rudder post and
finally the rudder when the crane lifted her. Looks like a winter of refit
work in preparation for teh IFR in Germany next year. Southern Comfort hasnt
been pampered for almost trhee years as I tend to spend most of my spare
time helping other Vega owners but this winter is for MY VEGA!
Regards to all
