South Florida Broker

There are many interlaced factors in choosing a broker. Broker companies are usually segmented in tiers usually driven by the "Asking Price" of the boat. At the top end they might move the boat to their facility and provide it maintenance and detailing or have highly motivated brokers that reside or travel to your specific area. At the bottom end the boat might be asked to be kept clean and accessible where it is at and would require a local broker. I would suggest contact Massey Yacht Sales & Service, reputable brokers in St Petersburg and Sarasota, and tell them what you got and they will tell you whether they service your area, could or not help sell your boat, but most important they could refer you to another or a smaller broker in your area that they would not be afraid to recommend.

My father is good friends with Courtney Ross of Ross Yacht sales. They use to be in Clearwater, but are now in Dunedin, Fl. The Old Man bought and sold several boats through him.

I bought my "yacht" through Massey, mentioned in Benny's post. They found me a boat that was two years old, but in like-new condition. They arranged the sea trial, haul out, and gave me a list of surveyors. They finally arranged the financing, and the closing was a painless process. Very professional and competent people. At the time I bought my boat, they were based in Ft. Myers also.
