As a follow-up to queries in a thread about log books originated last week by Peter Albright in Tampa Bay, here's my source for surveyor's field books (I'm sure there are others): Ben Meadows, 1-800-241-6401 Item no. 101595 They sell all kinds of great gear for outdoor work and camping too. These 4 x 6.5 inch hard-bound books are easy to slip into a pocket or duffel. The covers are orange so the books are hard to misplace. The pages are ruled, and made with high grade paper that resists water. Rubber bands around the pages and cover keep the book open to the right page even in the wind. They are also great for storing GPS waypoints (just in case the batteries die) and keeping trip notes and nav. information transferred from the charts below. Peter H23 "Raven"
