Or just replace the wires and the toggles with swaged fittings.

Which boat is this for?
I was hoping to avoid replacing the studs, which means replacing the wires, probably the spreader bolts are frozen, etc.

Like most boat projects, one thing leads to another until it becomes a rolling snowball of eternal financial insolvency.

It's a Jeanneau Tonic 23. Best boat ever.
...
Except yours of course.
...
Let's call it a tie.

It is always more fun spending other people's money. :waycool:

10 mm is rather beefy for a 23' boat. Check with Rigging Only for a price on replacement. For a 23' boat it might be more affordable than you think. And you were looking a winter project getting those spreader bolts out might just be the ticket.

Rigging Only says $122 for a pair of long studs. Hi-mod would more as they don't make a long stud but instead sell a separate extender. If I were to replace the wire too I'd still use sta-loks at the bottom, so I think that is the route today. I can of course reuse the sta-loks if I ever do replace the wire.

One of the reasons my Jeanneau Tonic is the best boat ever is that everything is cheaper, yet it is a fully capable coastal cruiser (although slow). Most things on it are a bit beefier than what you would find on a similar size boat.

If the rest of your rig is metric, don't start putting SAE into the mix. I'm finding some metric on Amazon.ca (Canada) and you could try a UK supplier like Jimmy Greene or Plastimo France.

To answer your question, Hayn has metric and standard sailboat turnbuckles, studs and swage fittings.
Can you provide anyone who sells Hayn metric turnbuckles? I was unable to find any. Rigging Only does not sell them, JimmyGreene does not either.

If Rigging Only sells Hayn turnbuckles, they can probably special order a metric one. Too little demand to put them on their website.
