I had a problem with my jib sleeve Friday afternoon. Last week I had taken it home and restiched all the decayed stitching -(I used a 30+year old Kenmore, it is a serious HD champ). I ran it up and down several times just to make sure It wasn't going to foul on anything. But it looks like I should have tried it a couple more times:doh:. It was hung up tight righ near the top. I was able to finally get it loos using my extra long boat hook. It came with the boat I used to wonder why the heck a felllow would been one so long. Now I may have found the answer.

Anyway I managed to damage the nylon zipper likely beyond repair, I'm more than capable of replacing the zipper if I can find a local source of heavy bulk zipper I'd even use brass if it was all I could get. Barring an easy/quick access to replacement zipper I will purchase one, mine would be servicable with repairs ut it is getting a little long in the tooth and showing it's age.
I've looked here BWY and sail warehouse and they are all prett y close price wise so any better option I'm overlooking?

I second the Sailrite source. they seem to have just about everything you would need, including complete sleeve kits if it ever got to that point.
