Pat - Navy is why I'm in Pensacola. Enlisted in flight program 1970 (NFO as a wreck at 16 had left one eye less than 20/20), was in RIF in Sept '70 that saw 500 of us dropped from flight program. Had one week before I was to go to Corpus - had already turned in my notice at apartment, so had to move... But all in all, I guess it was a good move. I try to go to every local Blue Angel Airshow, and make frequent trips to Naval Aviation Museum - I like it better than the National Flight Museum in DC. Pensacola has so much history...

The standard model 272 could be ordered with a diesel..I will check my brochure...I think it was the same westerbeke.....the westerbeke 10-2 came standard on the LE.
Still no gasket! Ordered it through same marina that ordered the pump - pump was here in 3 days. Ordered it Monday of last week. Now they tell me gasket definitely won't be here this week, and probably not next week either. If this was summer, I'd be looking into manufacturing one from gasket material. Has been raining and windy for last week, so delay is not too bad...
