I have a surveyor looking at a 1989 Frist Beneteau and he is getting a strange sounding in the area from both sides, starting near the bow and moving aft for about +/-5'. It is the first Beneteau that he has sounded and he is not sure if it is normal and part of the Beneteau design or is it delamination. Thermal imaging is not available to give a second opinion.
Is this normal? How can I be sure what it is without cutting the hual? Assume it is delamination, what would it cost to fix it if it can be fixed?
