We have an outfit on our lake called Eagle Hang Gliding. You get pulled up in the air by a speedboat until you get to 2000'. Then they release the tow line and you glide. You ride tandem with the operator. I think I'm going to do this next year.

They have an option to have your flight recorded on a GoPro for $40. I'd do that.
Do it, you'll never regret it. I spent an extra day on Hawaii on business once. Hang gliding off the south eastern cliff face of Oahu, tandem. Sure, just walk off into space 1,500 feet up, Piece o'cake! Extended time aloft because we talked sailing and we were the last flight of the day. Wonderful.

I did one of those parasailing tow behind a boat with my son, when he was about 10. I kept imagining dropping into the jaws of a waiting shark. Then, my son said it, with a laugh.
