Hay I have aC30 and want to mount a soler pannel for battrey chargeing and maintaining I had a 30 watt flex pannel over my sail cover but I had to put it up and take it off when I want to go sailing .Has anty body come up with a good mounting spot or system of mounting.I was thinking of mounting to my split back stay and then makeing two rear ss poles That went from my rear polepit up to hold the 70watt soler pannel horazontel above my bimmine about 6' off the rear lazzeret seat thanks for anty help. This set up has worked well for me, see photo. It also provides a bit of protection from the weather at the helm. With one more skinny panel it would provide complete coverage of the helm. The panels also drain into the bimini when it is open and thence into bottles for my fresh water supply, I liveaboard on the swing. The mount is just a bunch of tubing and fittings much like a dodger or bimini mount. The wires from the panels go inside the tubes and down through the hull at the rear vents. The wind generator is mounted completely independantly and almost never touches any other mounts, this is to reduce vibration transfer.
