Hello, I'm looking for a source for some latch hardware. I'm not sure what they are called, I want to use them to attach my bildge access hatch boards to the boat. I've seen these somewhere. They are round brass latches with large screw in the center. The slot is large enough to accept a quarter or something similar, as as I remember they work with a half turn. Thanks in advance, Mike

has a couple(Related Link). Unfortunately their website has a picture of part #abi-2017br but a description of abi-2020br. I think 2020br is what you are describing. Under Marine Hardware, Lift Handles they show the same picture for both types. I think you will need a catalog to see the one with the "locking arm". That arm is adjustable on a shaft to fit any floorboard thickness.

I got one at West Marine. Small, similar to original stainless steel round pop up hinged handle, with a locking latch and strike plate included in the package.
