We sold our boat at the end of our winter Bahamas cruise. Windsong II will continue to cruise Florida and the Bahamas each winter. The new owner is also a Canadian and will be a commuter cruiser as we were.
We do not plan to buy another boat. We will do some chartering and sailing with friends.
I would really like to thank everyone for the help and support I received here over the years on these forums and from the staff at Hunter Owners.
Regards, Bob

Way to go out in style.

Selling her to new enthusiasts after a long remote cruise.

Too many boats rot in their slips 10 miles from the owners house.

Happy trails too you. I'm glad you will still be sailing on "OPB's". In all my years of boating I always enjoyed going out on other people's boat more than my own......kind of relaxing in a way.

Wow Bob, this sure caught me by surprise. Still hoping to catch up with you guys either on the water or hopefully you will come west so that I can show you around canyon country!! The best to both of you and thanks for all the knowledge that you passed on to me over the years, here and on the phone at times,

Hi all:
I'd like to introduce myself as the very fortunate new caretaker of Bob's 356. We really lucked out when we found Windsong II. Bob and Sherry have been the best possible folks to deal with! We hope to have Bob back on "his" boat with us as we start our annual trips to the Bahamas. I also hope to learn from, and contribute to, this forum.

Thanks all for the good wishes. I'll drop by here on occasion for a sailing fix. My self-image is that I'm a sailor, not sure if I can change that.

Sherry and I were fortunate to meet up with Patrick and Gillian at the right time for both of us. We hit it off and so it has made the transition from old owner to new owner pretty easy for all of us. We feel Windsong II is in good hands and she will be back in familiar waters next season.
I'm planning to help out with her commissioning next January, and hope I'll have a sail on her.

Sumner we are planning a trip to canyon country in the next couple of years. Be sure to have a few welding, machining projects in progress when we arrive. I'll be happy to help out !

Fair winds to all, Bob and Sherry

Wow! Just saw this. I have to say that you guys were an inspiration for us. From the North Channel in your Mac Classic to the Caribbean - our plan is to do much the same as you did. In about three to four years we will be keeping an eye out for Windsong.
Interesting too is that when we sold Teliki last summer her new home is in your neck of the woods.

Fair winds,

Chris
