Well, after 27 wonderful years, we sold Lady Lillie on Saturday, 11 July. We posted her for sale on SBO, FaceBook, and boattrader.com. Facebook generated the most real leads, one of whom was the buyer. She very much wants to sail the boat with her husband and sons - which makes her the kind of buyer we hoped for!

Joanne and I have incredible memories of sailing her all around Lake Erie.
My Dad, Jack, joined my brothers Matt, and Craig for wonderful cruises in Erie and St. Clair.
My Mom, Julie was pleased to day cruise from Kellys Island
Louis made us Port O Geese with his wife, my sister Sara.
We loved sailing to the North Channel with Sandy and Larry in their Hunter 30, Helan Gar.
Our daughter Erica‘s family, Ezra, William, Emma, and Brian enjoyed annual cruises to Cedar Point beach.
Our daughter Amy‘s family, especially grandsons Joshua, Isaac, and Nathan overnighted with us in the Lake Erie Islands.
We had a great cruise along Erie’s South shore with our daughter Jane.
And there are many other precious memories of time with other family and friends.
Good bye, Lady Lillie, you have been so much a part of our lives for 27 summers.

The old adage "The two happiest days in a sailors life are when they first buy a boat and then when they sell the boat". For me that saying never fit. In all the boats I've ever owned, being happy when I bought the boat has always been true, but the selling has always been sad. All the memories in between buying and selling always added to that first part of buying, and made the selling very hard. I always loved it when the buyer was clearly going to also begin their journey of making wonderful memories.

Whatever your next chapter will be, may it continue making wonderful memories.
