I want to install a solar vent . Is the forward hatch the best place?Also what about water getting in when a wave breaks over the bow or with Rain ,washing down etc. Is this a problem? Thanks.David

Mine works fine.

I've had a solar vent installed in my front hatch on my C-22 for 10 years or so and it has never been a problem in the conditions you mention. It works pretty well in keeping the air moving, by the way. Small investment and good result, in my experience!

They are great !

My boat had two installed, one over the head and the other between the main saloon and the V Berth area. They pull air beatifully and do not take on water. I luv them!
