Solar vent installation

I was doing some digging online but could not get a conclusive answer to my question, which is: Can you install a solar vent into the forward hatch of the Capri 22 and does the incline of the hatch compromise watertightness?

Any thoughts for a good location for a vent installation on a Capri 22?

Here is a cross section of a typical solar vent.



Notice the high water dam that will exclude the influx of water from most typical angles that the Capri 22 may encounter in rough water. Mounting on the forward hatch would not be much different than mounting on a level surface especially when the boat is rocking in rough water.

If concerned, one can also close the vent manually.
