I finished the install a couple of Sunday's ago before heading down the Bay to meet the tall ships. I am happy with the results. The panels are 135w Kyocera's. The controllers are Genasuns. At 5:00 in the afternoon last week I was putting in 10 amps. Max should be at little over 17 amps.

Looks good DH but you need to secure the pos lead going to the battery as it looks like it could rub on the ground bus bar and possibly short.

Kyocera makes top notch panels.

Are you sure that arch can support those panels. Seems it might need to be a little beefier..:D:D:D:D Looks good!

Yea, Deadhead, you really did skimp on the supporting structure ;-)
Looks like it could support a small house on those channels.

Good points all.

1. Bus bar covers were back ordered.
2. Arch capacity is 450#.
3. Total weight of channel & panels is about 115#.
4. I weigh 180#, the 1st mate about 125#. The hammock weight is negligable.

Conclusion: The arch should support us while the panels provide shade for our naps.

Oh, I thought Pluto may have been restored to the "official planets list". Wrong topic, carry on.
