AloHa !
So after 3 months of an intense overhaul , my 34 is in the water ! Still have not had time to post the videos and pictures , but I plan on it.
So i ordered the Renogy 200w Marine Kit.
I have zero electric skills , just about one thing Ive stayed clear from. Ive blown or destroyed enough electronics in my day.
Renogy will not tell me how to "Isolate" the set up as they explained its not a part they make and are not advised to give out information regarding this topic...
So....
Boat will be on the hook for the remaining season.
How do I go about Charging BOTH my 2 House and my 2 Starter Batteries off this system ?
I was told to look into "some type of isolator" by Renogy and thats about it.
Any help would save me.
Cheers

look up Victron Battery Combiner. After your solar set up is set to charge you house batteries, simply run one small cable from the house batteries (positive) to the combiner battery 1 terminal, then from the battery 2 terminal to the starter batteries (positive). Basically, you're just running one positive cable from the house batteries to the starter batteries with the combiner in the middle of that cable.

Recommend practice for those of us with multiple banks (and $$) is to only charge the house batteries and use a combiner like the blue sea SI-ACR. in the diagram the charger would be your solar regulator.

THANK YOU EVERYONE.... this is now the time the "greenhorn" hits the web even harder. Really dig the knowledge many of you have to offer for news. I grew up sailing Hobie16 , heavy wether sailing them to self destruction. This 34 is kind of a beast. I took her out today for my 1st ever sail. It was also my 1st solo. It was also blowing 15-guest over 20mph. Wow. Headsail ONLY. I was out there. Couldn't even get a beer from down below. Another noob move. Keep the cooler up top. Sorry to go off + - topic here. But. I have much to learn with the MONO HULL. Only way to put it. I feel new. Then the fact how responsive it was. Most were over compensated miss haps. lol I got my ASS kicked. Felt like a good day on the hobie. But i was clueless kind of.
Any hoot. Stoked for all the info. Its still not 100% understanding but the Diagram was my speed ... lol
Cheers and I will add with my progress.

Another dual battery controller is Mornigstar Sunsaver Duo (e.g.: http://hespv.ca/morningstar-sunsaver-duo-ssd-25rm). It can come with a remote monitor/display.

Probably, one of the easiest installs you could imagine.

However, the direct connection to House and a SI-ACR to Start battery (post #6 above) is probably a better overall solution (but it might challenge your electrical skills).

Could I just run a separate Solar Set up just for the Starter Batt. Like a 20w trickle charger ? There seems to be some cheap little units out there. Anyone have any luck with those ?

The cost of the solar controller is not much less than the ACR. Solar without a controller will fry your batteries.
