I finally got the panel on my 07 Hunter-36 yesterday and in the process of finishing the wiring of my Blue Sky charge controler and should have them charging today or tomorrow.

Nice set up. I have the same boat and have been giving this solar panel idea some thought also.
I would be interested in seeing if main sheet lines do not get hung up on panels or new supports? Say when jibing etc. ?

Nick, thanks for posting this. I want to do the same job on my 356. Please let us know, how big (watts & dimensions) the panels are that you used, and how many ampere hours you can get in that Florida sun each day ?

great job !

these details are really useful - thanks!

I'm interested in doing the same on my 2006 Hunter 33.

Will the panels obscure the view of the sails from the helm? (I assume you have a clear panel in the bimini that allows the view-same as the H33?).

What is the total cost?

$$$$

I did spread the panels so I could see through that clear panel in the bimini and panels were $205.00 each and are 195 watts each 12 volt and blue Sky 3024 about $340.00,stainless tubing was 20 ft at $5.00 ft,#4 wire40 ft at $2.00 ft and stainless tubing connectors about $100.00.

Back to boat and connect every thing and see what I get and yes clean up the mess and start loading boat for our 3 week cruise.
