How much Solar?
First of all, Ryan, post this on the "Small Boats" and more of us trailer sailors will reply. Deck space on the H240 is limited so you'll have to be a little creative or you'll be walking on your solar panel. Do you just want to trickle charge the battery during the week or provide all the power for a weeklong cruise. Is starting an outboard required? Autopilot, GPS, VHF, 200 Watt stereo, Margarita Blender, night cruising, reading lights ? ? ? Makes a big difference. I've looked at 3-4Amps mounted off the transom for my H23.5 but it's about $400 worth. We've made 2 nights and 3 days on the battery with no charge and no problems so we just keep charging with the slip power. Lots of people are using the flexible panels to keep things topped up while on the trailer or in dry-sail. Ken S/V Wouff Hong
