I HAVE A 1992 37.5 LEGEND WITH THE ORIGINAL FACTORY SOLAR PANEL (SOVONICS MA12) MOUNTED ON DECK. THE FACTORY APPARENTLY FAILED TO SEAL OFF THE EDGES BEFORE MOUNTED THE NYLON TRIM PLATE AND RUST HAS CREEPED IN BETWEEN THE LAMINATED LAYERS FROM TWO SIDES MAKING IT MOST UNSIGHTLY IN APPEARANCE! I HAVE LOOKED AT SOVONICS.COM BUT IT'S MOSTLY IN GERMAN AND OF NO HELP. ANY ONE KNOW WERE TO GET AN EXACT REPLACEMENT? IT APPEARS TO BE 24 X 24" SQUARE. OCEANOKIE

Try calling them

Even if their web site is in German, someone probably speaks English. You could also try the old Babelfish site (now part of Altavista). It does a fair job of translating things.

I could not pull up the web site you mentioned, but you could try using an online translation site. I use them from time to time and the are somewhat accurate. Go to http://world.altavista.com/ and put in the web address and choose what two languages you are translating. It will then translate the site for you. You will have to translate each link you click, but it might help.

ANSWER FROM TECH

DEAR TODD, I FINALLY GOT AN ANSWER FROM TECH SUPPORT AT JOHNSON MARINE SUPPLY (ORIGINAL SUPPLIER OF SOLAR PANELS TO HUNTER MARINE). THEY SAID SOVONICS WHENT OUT OF BUSINESS AND THATS WHAT THERE GERMAN WEB SITE SAY'S WHEN TRANSLATED. THERE IS NO REPLACEMENT. THE 1994 LEGEND MODELS AND UP WERE RETRO FITTED WITH A APX 21 X 17 " PANEL AND TRIM COVER WHICH HUNTER STATES THEY HAVE SINCE DESTROYED THE MOLD AND CANNOT SUPPLY THIS AS WELL! SOME THINGS THESE MANF.'S DO DON'T MAKE ANY SENCE
