I made my Solar Panel frame on my 07 H-36 using the arch,take a look and see wha you think and only have a piece of aluminum angel iron.

Looks good Nick! I use a lot of the Gemini Split Rail Side Mounts... Saves the cost of two fittings and is a rather elegant solution to over the bimini solar mounting. They work for many other things to like collapsible bimini's, dodger hand rails etc. etc...

I was going to do exactly what you show in your photo but than decided to use the 2 clamps for a stronger mounting and did not trust that split rail side mount for long term strength.
I do have the split rail side mounts and will use them for some thing else but that's just me always making things stronger.

I intend to do the same job on my 356 so was happy to see how you did it. Please put up a few more shots after you get the panels installed with the details of the controller used and typical power generated per day.
