any tips to on who to call for a bottom blasting job in toronto.......can they do it in the winter on a nice day...............:confused:

if you have a compressor, harbour freight tools sell a soda blaster, for i think about a hundred, and you can do it yourself.

You had first better check with your Marina to see if they will allow it. I am in Port Whitby Marine and they do not allow it. Someone did it here a few years ago and the Marine ended up on the hook for a few paint jobs, not on boats but on cars. I scrapped mine by hand with carbide scrappers.

thanks for the tipI am at cherry and commisionor, they dont mind if you do there......, ...............but its already done and I am on my 5th coat of epoxy........I will be doing a 6th coat then 3 coats of micron...............a total of painting the bottom 9 times...........I am tired og looking at the bottom of the boat

here is navicula with her new bottom...........6 coats of epoxy and 3 coats of CSC...........I have no problem doing 3 coats, but 9 coats really sucks under a 43 foot boat,.

but I guess its worth it

Bottom Coat

Beautiful job, wish I had someone handy to do the soda blasting here in New Brunswick but the closest company is 150 miles away and it's two expensive to get them in to do one boat.

This work should last you for years to come.
