While I am on my O'Side to Dana Point Cruise on Saturday (3/15) and Sunday (3/16). We will be departing O'Side on/about 10:00. We will also be departing Dana Point on/about 10:00. Our flotilla will be monitoring and operating on the following frequencies:

Santa Catalina 147.090 & no PL tone
San Clemente 146.025 & 110.9 PL tone
Santiago Peak 145.220 & 103.5 PL tone
Signal Pk. UHF 445.400 & 110.9 PL tone

VHF Nat Simplex 146.520 & no tone, no TX Shift
UHF Nat Simplex 446.000 & no tone, no TX Shift

Call signs to listen for:
Mace Mason KG6VMF
Vivian Corr-Mason KK6BRC
Roger Tierney, KJ6QMN
Brian Donaldson KF6BL
Joe Dlugokecki KI6ORD
Rita Dlugokecki KI6ORE

The flotilla will check-in on the repeaters in order at the top of each hour with KG6VMF as the "controller". During the check-in we will be giving our decimal locations (without the 33 and 117 as they are assumed). I will also be monitoring simplex shortly after the top of the hour. If you can and want to try simplex, monitor the input of the repeater to make sure you can hear me/us. I will be using my handheld without mast antenna. So it will just be at sea level.

Thanks and have a great day.

Our YC Safety officer is also a ham and is trying out VHF/UHF to try and convince other members to get their license for safety reasons.

I was hoping to have my TS-50S back by the time of the trip. Was going to put up a vertical dipole from the mast head to the stern for 20 meters. But the radio is still not fixed. Maybe next cruise in June.
